Inspiring IAG Award
Hollingworth Academy achieved Gold Status in October 2015. In order to main this status, regular audits are carried out on all aspects of CEIAG to ensure that the delivery of Careers Education is in line with government guidelines and that information and guidance given to pupils is accurate and up to date.
Inspiring IAG has been designed to provide a good practice framework and recognition of high quality Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG) for organisations that are providing support services for young people.
It has been written and updated by CEIAG specialists across the ten Local Authority areas of Greater Manchester in consultation with schools, colleges, learning providers, employers and local authority representatives.
Inspiring IAG is a three stage process, Bronze Standard, Silver Standard and Gold Award. Organisations progress through each stage where it is validated and assessed. The process helps organisations to identify areas for development as well as recognising good practice in CEIAG. Six key areas run through each stage of the award, each underpinned by the principles of equality and diversity and raising aspirations.
