YEAR 10 MOCK INTERVIEWS - THURSDAY 4TH APRIL 2019
The Mock Interviews are part of the wider school Careers Education Programme and meet Gatsby Benchmarks 1, 2, 3 and 5 (there are 8 in total; all schools should be aiming to cover these in full by 2020).
- A stable careers programme
- Learning from career and labour market information
- Addressing the needs of each pupil
- Encounters with employers and employees
The Year 10 pupils will have been doing some preparation work in their PSHE lessons about employment skills and interview techniques and should have prepared answers to typical interview questions. They will arrive to the LRC at the time of their interview and then be interviewed for about 15 minutes, with 5 minutes at the end for feedback. Pupils are given a written copy of the feedback sheet at the end of the interview to take away with them.
I am looking for Interviewers who are employed in the various different industries that pupils have expressed an interest in so that they can tailor the questions they ask to be specific for pupils who are interested in working in that particular field. There is a 20 minute break at break time when refreshments are provided and 30 minutes at lunch (depending on how that fits in with school lunches on the day); food will also be provided.
If interested parties have any further questions, I am more than happy for them to get in touch directly with me, Mrs Collins (Head of CEIAG/Teacher of Science), so that I can answer them: jcollins@hollingworthacademy.

Welcome from the Headteacher
Welcome to our website! I hope that this will help you to easily access information about our school.
Hollingworth is a high achieving, successful school. We are extremely proud that Ofsted graded us 'outstanding' in their most recent inspection. However, we are not complacent as there are always ways in which we can improve further.
We are justly proud of the high quality education we provide. We have high expectations and insist on high standards: we expect all of our pupils to work with a fantastic attitude to learning and to behave in a way which shows respect to themselves and others.
In September 2011 we were delighted to move into our brand new building, which was the result of twenty five million pounds worth of investment. This has provided our pupils and the local community with state of the art facilities in all subject areas which will enable us to further develop the academic, cultural and sporting interests of our pupils in an attractive modern environment.
I hope that this website gives you a flavour of our school. If you would like to know more about Hollingworth, please do not hesitate to contact us by telephone, email or arrange a visit.
