Tutor Time Reading
Y7/8 pupils will be given a book for their tutor-time reading on Tuesday. They need to read this book for 20 minutes five times a week at home. If they do so, we know it is likely they will be far more academically successful and so developing our reading programme in this way will help to secure success for your child. More information is on the website (under tutor-time reading) and school social media.
Mental Health Support for Children, Schools and Families
The Mental Health Implementation group have requested that schools put a link to the GMCA advice on their websites. This information should help schools in addressing potential worries from families. The link is: Support for Parents, families and young people FAQ It would be helpful if it could also be shared on any social media platforms also.
Please find attached the Mental Health Support for Children, Schools and Families previously sent to schools for information. As a reminder the Healthy school Engage page Engage Rochdale continues to hold links to lots of resources for Wellbeing, healthy eating, domestic abuse support, Arts for Wellbeing, L4L physical activity and home learning links if required etc.
Our website is currently being updated. Our new website will be live from April 2021.
If you are unable to find the information you require, please contact the school on 01706292800.
